Important Covid-19 Information for Customers

The UK Tiles Direct tile showroom is now open to the public. Due to Covid-19 and Government guidelines, we have implemented measures and working practices to maintain social distancing and public safety, while providing as normal service as possible and these measures are detailed below.  If you have questions about our Covid-19 safety measures or how we are servicing customers at the current time please contact us

Customer & staff safety

Where possible, we are operating a remote service to customers for enquiries, advice, and sales.  Hand sanitiser is provided for customers visiting our showroom and access will be limited to maintain safety and social distancing.  Our cleaning regime for the showroom, vehicles and equipment has been intensified.

Our staff have been fully briefed on the measures we are taking to protect them and our customers.  Protective gloves, face masks, and hand sanitiser have been provided and regular handwashing is encouraged.  

Our staff will have their health monitored regularly.  They have been provided with antibacterial wipes, hand sanitiser and will wear disposable gloves and facemasks.  Measures have been put in place to minimise risk when our tilers and installers are working in customers’ homes.

Visiting the UK Tiles Direct showroom

The UK Tiles Direct showroom will be open to customers Monday 18th May. Visits to our showroom are welcomed but access will be by prior appointment only until further notice for the comfort and safety of our customers and staff.  Access to the showroom will be restricted to one person or persons from the same household at any one time. Please contact us to make an appointment.

Until further notice we are operating revised showroom opening times:

  • Monday to Friday – 9.30am to 3pm
  • Saturday and Sunday – CLOSED

Customers can contact UK Tiles Direct by telephone or email Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm.

The UK Tiles Direct showroom has been rearranged to facilitate social distancing and we have increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning.  Hand sanitiser is provided for customers and staff will practice social distancing wherever possible.  Where this is not possible, staff will wear facemasks.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to our showroom, and will ask individuals to leave, if we believe that they are not following social distancing and safety measures or if we feel that their conduct is putting customers and staff in danger.

Purchasing from UK Tiles Direct

Customers can buy tiles, flooring, and tiling products from UK Tiles Direct in the following ways.

  • In person from the UK Tiles Direct showroom by prior appointment
  • By telephone with remote collection from the UK Tiles Direct showroom

Please note that we are only accepting card payments in-store or online until further notice.  We will also accept bank transfers in payment for tiling services, bathroom supply and installation projects.

Tiling and bathroom installation services

Our staff will have their temperature and health monitored regularly and they have been provided with sanitising gel and wipes and will wear disposable gloves and masks while in your home.  They have been instructed to maintain social distancing wherever possible, wipe down surfaces and restrict movements to the area of the property they are working in only.  Refreshments will not be accepted or consumed by staff in customers’ homes.

Customer collections and deliveries

We offer a call and remote collection service from our showroom. Customers will be contacted with a time slot for collecting orders. Please note that lead times may be a little longer than usual as suppliers get up to speed again.

Our home delivery service is available for telephone sales.  Where products are delivered by our staff we will operate “distance deliveries”.  Orders will be left in a safe place at your address and customers will not be required to sign for goods or have any contact with our drivers.  Customer deliveries outside of Dorset will be fulfilled by carrier service and we ask customers to refer to the carriers for details of their delivery procedures.
